The films reviewed here represent those I have liked or loved over the years. It is not a list of my favourite films but all the films reviewed here are worth seeing and worth seeking out. I know many of you won't agree with me on a lot of these but hopefully you will grant me, and the films that appear here, our place in the sun. Thanks for reading.

LIQUID SKY
I don't actually recall dropping a tab of acid or dining out on magic mushrooms when I first saw "Liquid Sky" all those years ago but I'm sure I must have since I remember thinking at the time that it was some sort of B-Movie masterpiece. Catching up with it now I can clearly see it was never that and yet this tale of queer and trans goings on, tiny aliens in tiny flying saucers and the New York drug scene in the early eighties, written by director Slava Tsukerman, actor Anne Carlisle and producer Nina V. Kerova is still so weird that it totally transcends its very obvious limitations. The acting, including a performance from "Alice Sweet Alice" cult player Paula E. Sheppard is truly terrible and the cinematography has an amateurish on-the-hoof look to it and yet this demented film is still a one-of-a-kind classic. Why it isn't better known is a mystery.
